On The Rocks Programme Launch
By: Elsa Klein
Mark your calendars, because the On The Rocks festival is back! On The Rocks is the largest student-run arts festival in Scotland. The festival is organized by students from the University of St Andrews, and is held in various venues throughout Fife, from theatres and cafés to the beautiful St Andrews Castle! With the festival just around the corner beginning on March 31st, we are thrilled to announce the details of the programme launch, featuring events from comedy acts and photography to live music for a night of pure artsy bliss.
The On The Rocks programme launch will be held on March 7th from 8pm till midnight in The Adamson. Enjoy a drink and a chat surrounded by a photography exhibition, or join the artistic magic by contributing to our community evolving mural. Musical talent will also be provided by various singer-songwriters. Please arrive in cocktail dress and join the creative energy. Find the Facebook event here for more details: https://www.facebook.com/events/384004245305308/.
This year marks On The Rocks’ ninth year, and the festival will take place from March 31st - 9th April. The festival gives both students and townspeople the opportunity to define art in their own way, while showing off the hugely talented and diverse artistic community within St Andrews. From musicals and dance shows, to stand-up comedy and immersive theatre (and even evolving murals that involve the entire community!), there is something in the festival for everyone.
On The Rocks brings excitement and vivacity to St Andrews with over forty events happening during the ten-day period. The programme launch will give you a small slice of what to expect during the festival at the end of the month. More information on the programme and ticketing for the festival can be found on our website at ontherocksfestival.com.
